The crooks claimed the bank wants to make money through extortion and bribery

Someone who has a problem with the Bank of America (BoA) took advantage of the fact that Google Plus started offering services for businesses and created a fake page that defames the financial institution in any way possible.

Sophos reports that even though some might think that the official page of BoA has been hacked, the bank never actually controlled the page.

“We are committed to make as much money as possible from usury, coercion, bribery, insider trading, extortion, and debit cards fees as possible.” wrote the introduction on the fake profile.

The pranksters didn't settle with writing a few comments. They posted 10 articles in which the bank's name is dragged through mud.

The abuses recorded currently on Facebook are expected to shift any time soon to Google's service, since everyone knows that where there are potential victims, cybercriminals will soon follow.
