As long as said speaker is made by Bang & Olufsen, of course

Bang & Olufsen has a variety of high-end speakers and related audio products on sale, but not all of them have wireless support, something it aims to fix.

Though some would like to convince people otherwise, adding wireless support to a consumer electronic device is fairly straightforward.

All it takes is an adapter with a built-in sensor, or sometimes just the sensor itself.

It just so happens that the Playmaker is just this type of sensor/adapter. It will create wireless links between B&O speakers and whatever smartphone, tablet, PC, Mac system or media server buyers happen to own.

There is no special driver involved. The whole setup process takes just a few seconds.

Playmaker supports various music zones and is DLNA and AirPlay-compatible. Its price will be the only problem, when shipments begin at the end of the month (July 2012): $425 / €348, or $4,310 / €3,532 with a BeoLab 3 loudspeaker.
