Occasionally, a company or another will revise one of their popular products, change the name and promote it as a new and improved version, or a new device altogether, and bang & Olufsen just did something of this very sort.

Some time ago, some may remember that Bang & Olufsen created a certain remote control called Beo5.

The same outfit now has another Beo detailed on its official website, one that looks and behaves very much like the Beo5, for the most part at least.

Indeed, one may notice that the product pages of the Beo5 and Beo6 are almost identical, the only difference being the names of the products themselves, in addition to one extra thing.

Basically, the Beo6 has an advantage over the Beo5 in the form of wireless connectivity, meaning that the remote control can connect to the WiFi network.

This will let it establish a 2-way control with other products that support 2-way communication and were developed by Bang & Olufsen.

Other than that, the product has the same square glass display with soft touch keys and the aluminum ball with tactile keys and a volume wheel.

“With Beo6 there is always an answer to ‘what does this button do?’. The remote you own controls just the products you have and nothing more,” states the product page.

“To service the individual needs of each customer, we draw on our unique dealer network to customize each Beo6 in a way that no central manufacturer could.”

Those interested in finding out more about the Beo6 need only drop by the official product page that the Bang & Olufsen website already includes (it is located here).

Unfortunately, users that may have wanted to buy this product will have to wait until online stores begin to list it because there is no word on what price it will bear.
