14 DAY TRIAL // The “ape woman” might have been considered by many the ugliest lady ever to walk the face of the earth, yet a pooch nicknamed the “monkey dog” was recently crowned the best in show at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show.
For those unaware, Banana Joe, as this pooch is named, is a black Affenpinscher, sources report.
Apparently, his owner, Ernesto Lara, admits that Banana Joe has some sort of “comic seriousness” about him, and that this might have helped him take home the prize.
Banana Joe was born in the Netherlands about five years ago, and apparently, this is where he will return now that the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show in New York has come to an end.
“This little fellow – I just wanted to touch him. He’s got a fantastic face and an absolutely perfect body. I’ve not had my hands on a better Affenpinscher ever,” judge Michael Dougherty told members of the press.
Just for the record, the name of Banana Joe's breed translates as “mustached little devil.”
