Baldur's Gate players will be pleased to know that the long-awaited Patch 1.2 for Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition is now available via Beamdog.

Besides the fact that it brings numerous new features, it also improves the game as players will encounter some crash fixes.

Among the most important additions, gamers will find a newly enhanced interface, the bottom panel interface being improved and the action bar being given a level of transparency.

Moreover, all interface windows in the game currently appear as windows instead of concealing the entire screen, and can be toggled back to the gameplay screen by pressing their individual hot-keys.

Also, you have compatibility with Intel chipsets, as a renderer has been implemented, eliminating crashes and slowdowns for most systems.

In the same way, a new match -making system has been implemented for multiplayer, therefore removing the need to forward ports to your router when setting up a game.

Another interesting feature is that every race has a default color for skin and hair, allowing modders to take advantage of this feature by editing CLASCOLR.2da and RACECOLR.2da to give their races and kits the desired defaults.

Other features include: middle mouse button allows dragging of gameplay screen, added option to scale UI, locked containers highlight green for thieves, subtitles option added for movies, arrow keys will move map rectangle, and having Rasaad's kit changed to Sun Soul Monk.

Furthermore, one will be able to notice that now, you have externalized spells that may be cast while silenced, externalized Barbarian's (and Dwarven Defender's) HP table, externalized the hardcoded limit of settable traps and even added Turn Undead level modifier opcode .

Besides all of these, the problem related with battling wyverns as well as the crash due to missing portraits have been fixed,. Also, the patch has improved the game's multiplayer stability plus the fact that players won't experience crashes when viewing movies in Options menu.
