Beamdog and Overhaul Games unveiled last week plans to launch a graphically enhanced version of the highly-acclaimed Baldur’s Gate game, which was launched by BioWare back in 1998.

The developers confirmed the PC game would be released this summer, but they have yet to announce the exact release date of the D&D title.

While they’re still working on the PC game, Overhaul Games came forward with a pleasantly surprising announcement confirming there would be an iPad version as well.

They already have a beta build up and running, which apparently works smoothly on the device, but there are still some things that need to be worked out, like the size of the UI, which is too small, making it difficult to use its tiny buttons.

All in all, the team behind this project is certain it will be able to launch the game this summer, probably along with the PC version.
