Although this is not one of the newest and most popular games to have ever hit the market, the fact that Atari decided to publish it might give you a reason to test it. After all, they have been known to keep an eye on supporting titles that attract a relative large number of gamers.

Balance is a unique puzzle game that comes with brand new features that set it apart from other competing games. If you want to master it, you have to be very skilled in handling your keyboard, along with the fact that sometimes you might want to restrain your gaming frustrations whenever you get stuck on a level. What differentiates this title from others is the fact that a large number of physics rules govern your actions.

Controlling a ball might seem easy at first glance, but take into consideration that sometimes it transforms into wood, paper or stone. These changes directly affect the control that you have on the behavior of the ball. If, for instance, it changes into a paper ball so that you can use an air fan to get on a platform, you will see that controlling it will be very easy because paper is a lightweight material and can be maneuvered almost effortlessly.

The opposite of the paper ball is the stone ball. This is great for moving large wooden cubes but, at the same time, controlling it at high speeds can become a lot more than a challenge. Still, you don't have to worry because the ball doesn't change by itself. Every time you use one of the transforming fields it means that somewhere along the way you will need that type of ball.

What's interesting about the game is not the fact that a ball changes from one state to another but that you can use double rails, mono rails or air fans whenever you need to reach your objectives. It goes without saying that these obstacles cannot be easily mastered because each time you change the type of ball you use, the physics laws change and it takes a lot of practice until you get used to each challenge.

The fact that it comes with twelve gameplay levels doesn't make it a short game. On the contrary, each level has its own catch that you need to figure out in order to complete it. If you want my humble opinion, I consider this game to be somewhat addicting and if it gets you hooked, you will surely pay the 14,99 euros to unlock all its features.

Here are some snapshots of the application in action:
