There are several applications aimed at Windows 8 adopters that come with wallpapers and high-resolution photos supposed to be used as lock screen backgrounds, but here’s one more tool that claims it deserves a chance.

Simply called “Backgrounds,” this new app promises to offer “a big collection of the most amazing images that you can use for your wallpapers,” so you can “browse through thousands of the coolest images to personalize your computer or tablet.”

The application works on all Windows 8 builds, including x86, x64 and ARM, so it can be used not only on desktop computers, but also on tablets running the new OS.

While there are plenty of things to be improved in the next versions, Backgrounds isn’t available with a freeware license, but with a $2.99 (€2.25) price tag.
