VooFoo has announced that their re-creation of the age-old game of Backgammon will be coming to Sony’s consoles on April 15, with a great price tag.

The game will be launched for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita platforms, and apart from being able to play the game on the latest generation of consoles, players will also benefit from a brand new (not to mention exclusive) Blitz arcade mode, adding a whole new level of strategy to the popular game.

The developers of the upcoming game have already established a name for themselves with Hustle Kings and Pure Chess, digital adaptations of real life games, and Backgammon Blitz will mark a step upwards for the studio, with all the gorgeous design and stylish approach of the user interface, not to mention the fantastic visuals that will be rendered on the next-gen console from Sony.

Additionally, the development team is offering a trial version of the game for all Backgammon fans (and newcomers alike) to try out before committing to a purchase, teaching the rules and offering a glimpse of the Blitz mode.

Backgammon Blitz is coming out on April 15 for PS3, PS4 and PS Vita. Here’s hoping that their next game is a digital version of Go.
