Over time, the people over at Hammacher Schlemmer have managed to come up with quite a large number of interesting gadgets, and now, it's time to take a very quick loot at yet another item of this type, namely the BackTrack GPS.

As its name suggests, this tiny GPS receiver has been designed specifically to help users find their way back to their original location, just making it a lot easier to navigate some unknown locations (such as foreign city, forest, mall parking lot, etc.).

Moreover, this thing is likely to quickly become an accessory people won't leave their homes without, especially since it's quite easy to carry around, measuring 3/4 x 2 x 3 ¼ inches, weighing just 2 ounces and requiring solely two AAA batteries in order to operate, while its weather-resistant design enables one to use it in just about any type of environment conditions.

And speaking of operation, it's also important to mention that the BackTrack GPS is extremely user-friendly, sporting just two buttons, namely one for switching the compass mode and another for setting up to three starting points, to which users will be able to navigate by simply following the arrow displayed on the screen (even in low-light conditions, since the display is backlit).

Plus, it also offers quite a good level of positioning accuracy, namely around five yards, while also being able to provide the distance one has to travel in order to reach their destination (in yards, miles, meters, or kilometers).

Unlike the wide majority of gadgets available from Hammacher Schlemmer, typically a bit overpriced, we'd dare to say that the BackTrack GPS device is actually quite affordable, selling for around 80 US dollars, which is certainly a sum worth paying in order to enjoy the level of functionality this thing provides.
