Offensive Security, the developers of the ever popular BackTrack Linux, have just announced the immediate availability for download for the BackTrack 5 R3 release.

The third release of BackTrack 5 Linux brings many updated packages, bug fixes, and general improvements.

One of the main focuses of BackTrack 5 R3 is the addition over 60 new tools, several of which were released in BlackHat and Defcon 2012. A new tool category was created to fit all these new applications called “Physical Exploitation,” including tools such as Arduino IDE and libraries, as well as the Kautilya Teensy payload collection. “Building, testing and releasing a new BackTrack revision is never an easy task. Keeping up-to-date with all the latest tools, while balancing their requirements of dependencies, is akin to a magic show juggling act”, said the developers in the press release.
