Back in Baby’s Arms: Photo of Reconciled Amy Winehouse with Blake

Theirs was one of the most short-lived marriages in showbiz, while also coming in the first positions for being the most volatile, with many a bloody fight ending with either of the two in hospital, as per reports. However, songstress Amy Winehouse is back again with Blake Fielder-Civil, with him confirming for Heat magazine that they’re engaged to be married – and, at the same time, determined to make the second time work.

Blake, who is not yet living with Amy since he still has to see through his rehabilitation program for drug addiction, tells Heat that, indeed, rumors of them getting back together are true. As proof of that, he offers a never before seen shot of him and Amy in an embrace and on the verge of kissing, which seems to have been taken recently. He also vouches that, unlike the first time, the second time they’ll do their best to make the relationship work.

“Amy’s wearing the Tiffany ring I bought for her three years ago again. We’ve been meeting up and talking about the old times. We talk about going away somewhere and getting married. Amy is always the first person I call if I have anything worrying me or that I want to share with someone. We speak on the phone at least three times every day,” Blake says for the mag. He’s currently residing in Sheffield, while Winehouse is in London, where she’s also seeing to her music career and her label.

“We’ve decided we’ll take things slowly. We want to get things right this time. I need to find a career and to be able to support myself. It wouldn’t make sense for me to move in with Amy. We were addicts together and were very co-dependent. It would be irresponsible for us to move in together straight away. We’ll get married again one day. But I don’t think we’ll run away to get married on a beach. This time I’d like it to be a proper wedding with both our families there. Both me and Amy know we will be together some time in the future,” Fielder-Civil goes on to say.

As fans would know, the first time they were married, Blake and Amy almost killed themselves if not by their violent behavior towards each other, then by their addiction to illegal substances. Because of this, the singer’s family often considered Blake responsible for the state Amy got to at one point, which is why they were hoping they would never get back together again once the divorce was final.
