Microsoft has an interesting lineup of offerings for the students that are getting ready to go back to school and of course it's centralized around the company's latest operating system, Windows Vista. All you have to do is view the Windows Vista Back to School 2007 flash application in order to get an idea of Microsoft's perspective on how its platform and the adjacent hardware, software and devices included in the logo certification program, will integrate into elementary school, high school and college. But for some, Vista - Microsoft's safest Windows operating system available - is not safe enough. Just watch the video fragment embedded at the bottom of this article.

Windows Vista might very well be the most advanced Windows operating system, but does it stops bullets? Will the platform protect you from the 9mm hallow points? Well, Vista barely makes it in one piece from the threat of malicious code, and the operating system is plagued by vulnerabilities. When going back to school, you'll need body armor and not a fancy operating system with an eye candy interface. But while full body armor is not easy to come by, students may resort to the next best thing: armored backpacks - great for carrying notebooks and stopping bullets!

And the next time that you hear one of your colleagues turned gunman coming down the corridor shooting left and right, you will be safe behind your bulletproof backpack to use a Vista certified laptop and the Instant Search feature of the operating systems Desktop Search mechanism to find yourself a survival strategy.

Vista is Microsoft's window into the next generation of digital lifestyle. But without the backpack you risk having no style, or even worse, no life. "With Windows Vista there's now an added layer of protection, putting parents in charge and helping to protect children while on the PC," Microsoft stated. Well, the answer is simple. Windows Vista's Parental Control feature will protect the students online, and the bulletproof backpacks on their backs will safeguard them in real life. The school ground is no place to play around, nowadays you could lose your life...
