Last month, the Tennessee Aquarium welcomed a fully-grown Haller's round stingray. Little did they know that the creature was expecting, and that it would not be long before they found themselves with no choice except look after five other stingrays.

According to Zoo Borns, the Haller's round stingray mom delivered its five bundles of joy on October 21, while it was still in quarantine.

Things went smoothly and, soon enough, the baby stingray were exploring their surroundings and feeding as often as they had the chance.

The same source tells us that, for the time being, each of them measures about three inches (7.6 centimeters), minus the tail. This makes them roughly three times smaller than their mom.

Keepers say that, whereas the latter is to go on public display as soon as the quarantine period ends, the baby stingrays will only make their public debut once they grow a tad stronger.

Until then, they will get all the TLC they could ever need and ask for from keepers in charge of watching over them.
