The snow leopard cub is just now learning to climb, jump and pounce

This past weekend, a baby snow leopard named Misha made her public debut at the Denver Zoo.

The female cub doesn't have any brothers or sisters, so it's safe to assume that she probably got much more attention than she bargained for.

Zoo Borns reports that, since she was born on May 13, Misha has put on about four pounds (1.8 kilograms).

She now weighs merely five pounds (2.2 kilograms), but will probably tip the scale at well over 70 pounds (almost 32 kilograms) once she reaches adulthood.

Misha's mother, Natasha, has had several other cubs in the previous years.

Being as experienced as she is, Natasha has an easy time looking after Misha and making sure she does not get in trouble while learning to climb, jump and pounce.

Presently, snow leopards are listed as an endangered species.

Conservationists estimate that just 2,000-7,000 such big cats are left to populate the species' natural habitats in central Asia and the Himalayan regions of Pakistan, India and Afghanistan.
