Just yesterday, the news broke that, over the weekend, a 3-year-old girl presumed dead had woken up and started moving during her own funeral, just as family and close ones were saying goodbye to her.

Recent news on the topic says that, unfortunately, the child was in such poor health condition that, just hours after being rescued from her coffin, doctors were left with no choice but once again pronounce her dead.

As previously reported, the 3-year-old started feeling ill sometime towards the beginning of last week. On Friday, her family took her to a local hospital in the province of Zamboanga del Sur, in the Philippines.

Doctors here failed to find a heartbeat, and therefore told the parents that the baby girl was dead. Shortly after, the toddler's family started making preparations for her funeral, which was scheduled to take place on Sunday.

While the girl's family and close ones were gathered around the 3-year-old's coffin, one of the people attending the funeral service noticed that the girl was moving her head and told the parents that the toddler was very much alive.

Though still alive on Sunday, the baby girl was not feeling very well. On the contrary, word has it she was in a comatose state, and that nurses were busy trying to help her family understand what was wrong with her and look after her.

“We really can not make confirmation on the status of the girl but based on the observation of the police personnel I deployed it appear the girl remained in a state of comatose in their house,” a local police officer said in a statement.

Despite plans to have the 3-year-old examined by doctors at a better-equipped hospital, the girl passed away before anybody had a chance to diagnose her. Thus, Daily Mail tells us that, this past July 14, she was once again pronounced dead.

This time, the person who got to examine her body and who had to give the girl's parents the bad news was Dr. Mary Silyne Asor-Cabahug, the municipal health officer of Aurora, who used a heart monitor to make sure the 3-year-old was in fact dead.

Although it is still unclear what caused this young girl in the Philippines to get sick, become feverish and pass away in a matter of days, word has it that doctors have recommended that her family bury the body as soon as possible, so as to keep potential diseases from spreading.
