Two baby giant otters now live at Zoo Miami in the United States, and keepers could not be happier about having them around.

Staff at the facility says that the pups were born last year, on December 19. They now measure about 2 feet (60 centimeters) from head to tail, and weigh about 4 pounds (0.9 kilograms).

Given the fact that their parents are about 6 feet (1.8 meters) long and tip the scale at nearly 75 pounds (34 kilograms), there is little denying that the pups still have a lot of growing up to do.

According to Zoo Borns, the baby giant otters are both males. They were born to mother Kara and dad Witoto. Interestingly enough, it would appear that the two now share the task of raising their offspring.

For the time being, the pups are not on public display. This is because they are still too young to be able to handle being stared at by people.

However, it is only a matter of weeks until their caretakers decide that they are confident and strong enough to make their public debut.
