Visitors were shocked to notice they had a few unwelcome guests in the water

Looking to cool off from the terrible summer heat, a family of crocodiles found the perfect place to escape the heat, in a public pool in Mount Isa Aquatics, Queensland, Australia. Swimmers were baffled at the sight of the unusual guests and some didn't even notice them until actually being face-to-face with the reptiles.

The baby crocs actually made a splash, panicking swimmers in what seemed to be just a prank from a local. It appeared that the newly-born baby crocodiles were stolen from their mother's nest and thrown around and in the pool to create some noise and amuse people.

Some swimmers noticed the little fellows before jumping in the pool and alerted the management, but others had the chance to share the water with six baby reptiles. One visitor actually enjoyed sharing the water with the little animals and admitted that they were way too little to pose a threat.

“A lap swimmer said they didn't want to alarm me but there was a small crocodile swimming beside them. I jumped in with the pool scoop to get him out but then there were two, then three, then four and five. It is not everyday you find little crocodiles swimming around,”Brian Rodriguez, pool director says, according to Metro News.

Besides the six little reptiles found in the swimming pool, three more were encountered under the tables near the water. They were almost 12-inch (30 centimeters) long so they were actually more adorable than scary. Even if they were just babies, they were pretty fast, making it difficult enough to catch them.

No one was hurt and the event was quite entertaining with both staff and visitors chasing the little north Australian natives around the pool. The reptiles were finally caught, put in a tank and sent to a wildlife facility. They might have ended there by themselves, but the theory stating that a prankster brought them in order to have a laugh or two is more plausible.
