The long expectation is finally over: pop princess Britney Spears has given birth to her second child, who turned out to be, contrary to what most people knew, a little boy. Brit's father, Jamie Spears, just confirmed the happy news to Access Hollywood and added: 'Everything is great'.
According to newspaper reports in the United States, the singer gave birth by Caesarian section, during the night, in a private clinic in Los Angeles. The procedure ended at approximately 02.00 A.M and it went exactly as the 24-year-old star had predicted when she told 'People' last month that delivering her second child into the world would be a 'piece of cake'.
A source talked to 'People' Magazine and gave another confirmation of the news, adding that Brit's husband, Kevin Federline, was more than happy. 'Kevin had a smile on his face. He looked happy and upbeat', the insider said.
This is the second child for Kevin with Britney, and his fourth in total. The wannabe rapper also has a daughter Kori (4) and a son Kaleb (2) with his former girlfriend, actress Shar Jackson. A while ago, K-Fed said that he would be taking a break from his music career to enjoy this beautiful moment in his and Britney's life.
'I'm really going to kick back and wait and see when this baby is going to come, spend my time with my family and my wife', he said. If one listens carefully, somebody, out there, has just let slip a deep sigh of relief...
