BREAKING: WATCH BRITNEY'S "GIMME MORE" VIDEO

Brit's new video for "Gimme More" has finally been launched, and we've added it below. I only managed to watch it twice and already I feel a bit dizzy from all the spinning and light effects that they're added to it. But the fact is, it's not as bad as I imagined it would be, with all the drama that surrounded it. Remember, this is the video that had to be shot twice because of Britney walking out of the shoot and reportedly breaking down several times along the line.

But overall, it's sort of a more user-friendly version of that Lindsay Lohan movie in which she turns stripper and is hunted down by a mad serial killer who ends up cutting off her leg and her fingers. Yes, there actually is such a movie, and in case you haven't seen the best bit in it, you can WATCH IT HERE. And see if you can spot the similarities...

Anyway, this video is about Britney dancing the pole, and really, there's not much else except for some slow-dancing moves and basically everyone trying their best to keep our eyes away from Brit Brit, who's not looking at all her glamorous self. Joking - she hasn't been looking like her old self in a couple of years now, and I'm not sure the "glamorous" part was ever 100% true about her.

The fact is, it's a reasonably good package overall under the circumstances, but it's a far cry from what she needed for people to start taking her seriously again. And another indisputable fact is that again, the real life drama overshadows the music. I mean, I will always wonder what would have been the fate of Britney if the public eye hadn't been on her as much as it is now.

This song and its video would most likely have passed unnoticed among a stream of better quality music. But maybe that would have served Brit better in the long run than the infamous kind of fame she has achieved over the past year and which has nothing to do with any qualities that she might have possessed at some point.
