All this is may cause a déjà vu for us. In fact, no 'may' is involved, because I for one certainly have the impression that we've been through this with Britney before, less than a year ago. Before her umbrella incident (when she went on a rampage and kicked the crap out of a paparazzo and his car with her own personal umbrella) and her head-shaving moment, all sorts of rumors about Britney floated on the mighty Internet. Most of them turned out to be true, as ridiculous as they seemed when they initially surfaced. But we'll try and take what's following with a grain of salt... not that we have any other choice!
Yesterday, I was telling you that Brit Brit is about to do a tell-all interview with 'OK!' Magazine, which will be featured in this week's issue of the mag. Apparently, there's more to this story than what we initially thought: the reporter from the mag, various sources claim, was asked to be present on location of Britney's upcoming video with the idea in mind that it will enable 'OK!' to cover the shoot exclusively. That is, Brit asked the reporter there before she arrived on set and not after that, as it was previously reported.

In order to get the best cover story, 'OK!' even went through the painstaking trouble of finding the best stylists in LA to make the pop tart look at least decent, if not as hot as she once was. And that's where the whole trouble began! If we were to lend an ear to all that's written in the press about Spears, then we would soon reach a conclusion that she's insane. But, since all these are just rumors, we can only hope that they're not true, no matter how disturbing they are. In order to make things easier with you, this is what insiders say about Britney's behavior on set:
- she was three hours late and, when she did finally arrive, she was so high (on something) that her eyes kept rolling back in her head and she couldn't keep her head straight;
- she took frequent bathroom breaks and, each time she came back, her behavior was so erratic that it baffled everybody;
- she ordered food and wiped her hands on one of the Gucci dresses she had on, staining it with grease;
- she left the set when the 14-hour shoot was over and took with her dresses estimated at $20,000 because she thought they were 'gifts';
- when her pooch London poohed on the floor, Britney just grabbed a Channel gown and swept it clean;
- she used a bathroom that was supposed to be used as a part of the scene, without closing the door and peeing while everybody was looking on;
- she kept talking to herself all the time in baby-talk;
- had mood swings ranging from incessant laughter to hysterical tears, a thing that made the staff speculate that she might be bipolar;
- she couldn't stop touching herself, caressing her breasts and in between her legs, 'like a 5-year-old discovering herself for the first time';
- at one point, she became paranoid and wanted to call it a day because she was under the impression that the roof would collapse on her; later, she wanted to leave because she thought she looked 'fat' and strongly believed that everybody was making fun of her;
- she did not let the two stylists 'OK!' brought on the set do her hair and make-up, saying that they only wanted her to look bad; instead, she opted for her 'skanky friends'.
Apparently, the whole thing was such a fiasco that the magazine is afraid to publish the photos taken on the occasion or the story of what really went down because it would 'kill her career'. Speculation has it that the editor in chief is now considering running a sanitized version of the story, instead of an accurate report on the shoot. However, this doesn't actually mean that all of the above actually took place. But it does mean that the possibility of them having happened went up a bit. And, if so, Britney might be on her way to another breakdown.
