Bitstream Inc. announced today that its mobile browsing solution, BOLT, would come preloaded on the entire line of mobile phones that AllviewMobile would deliver to the market all around Europe. Allview selected previously the BOLT browser as the solution of choice for the handset it was to deliver to the market in Romania, yet now it chose to extend the partnership with Bitstream Inc., announcing it as its official mobile browser partner when it comes to all its devices on the European market.

[ADMARk=1]According to Allview, the first mobile phone that will have BOLT preloaded will be the F1 X-perience, a dual-SIM, dual standby touchscreen GSM handset. The device also sports a great deal of features common to cell phones these days, including accelerometer, widget menu, TV and FM radio tuners, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, as well as a 3.2-megapixel photo snapper. Moreover, BOLT is not the only software solution the F1 X-perience comes around with, but it also features a version of the eBuddy instant messaging application, providing integration with chat services like Yahoo, MSN, Facebook, Google Talk, ICQ and AIM.

“BOLT was chosen over competing mobile browsers because it perfectly displays Web pages on Allview phones the way people see them on their computers,” said Adrian Visan, development manager at Visual Fan, parent company of AllviewMobile. “BOLT is not only very fast and easy to use, it’s the only browser for mobile phones that streams videos from websites popular in Europe such as YouTube and RuTube. BOLT’s data compression not only assures that websites load quickly, it helps reduce the cost of browsing the Web for users of Allview phones, and has even been shown to extend battery life between recharging.”

In Allview's opinion, BOLT can provide superior website rendering, as well as great speed, on all of the company's mobile phones. The new agreement between the two companies is meant to add value to Allviews handsets, as the vendor tries to deliver one of the best mobile experiences available. The Allview mobile devices are mainly designed to fit the needs of the Romanian market, and the handsets come with Romanian menu and user manual, while also offering access to a variety of applications on the company's website.
