BMW fans as well as racing enthusiasts will soon have a brand new mobile game to try out, named exactly "BMW Racing" and coming this summer to their handsets.

Created by the FinBlade British studio and published by Hands-On Mobile, the game will put BMW's latest sports cars on the famous N?rburgring race track, offering players the best mobile racing experience. BMW Racing's development became possible after Hands-On Mobile signed licensing agreements with BMW and with N?rburgring GmbH, the company that owns the well-known circuit with the same name.

The new game comes with several officially licensed automobiles (six, more exactly), like the BMW Sauber F1.08, BMW M3, BMW M5 and BMW M6, each of them providing a different and realistic driving experience. There are two playing modes, Challenge and Time Trial, which require racers to test their abilities on N?rburgring Nordschleife, one of the most difficult and long tracks in the history of racing.

"Brand extensions are a great way for companies to reach new markets and the ubiquity of the mobile phone means mobile brand extensions in particular have the potential to reach huge numbers of consumers. In the past we have worked with brands such as Marvel and World Poker Tour and have delivered top selling mobile games and content across the globe and we are looking forward to doing the same for BMW Racing" declared Greg Robinson, General Manager of Hands-On Mobile EMEA, in a press release issued recently.

The new BMW mobile game will be available in Europe, Asia-Pacific and Latin America, via most of the mobile carriers operating in these regions. No word yet about a North American release, which is a bit weird, as I'm sure there are lots of BMW and/or racing fans over there, too.
