Officially showcased at the South Florida International Auto Show in Miami last month, the BMW X3 iPad application is now available for free download on the iTunes App Store. The app boasts attractive features like a 360°-view of the BMW X3, and the ability to configure your individual car.

Until today, the app’s sole purpose was to examine the possibilities that the Apple tablet offers in terms of sales promotion measures and creating a platform for the communication of further vehicle and product literature, BMW said.

Now, everyone can grab the app for their iPad and get all the information they want about the new X3 model (including videos), as well as configure their ideal vehicle and order product literature, BMW announced.

“The application containing all the product information on the new BMW X3 has been available in the App Store since the beginning of December 2010, offering the chance to experience the vehicle via iPad,” the German car maker announced today.

“The application combines the advantages of the classic product catalogue, the website and the interactive possibilities of the iPad,” BMW explains.

The app’s official iTunes description can be found below, complete with key features.
