Earlier this year at CeBIT, in Hanover, Germany we had the pleasure of getting a glimpse of one of Thermaltake's most interesting case designs, the Level 10 PC case, which has been designed in collaboration with the BMW Designworks. Some time has passed since the event, but it appears that the cool-looking chassis is finally shipping and will soon provide its fans with support for some of the most powerful computer systems a DIY user can design.

The fellows over at Maximum PC have been lucky enough to get their hands on an early sample of the case, which they plan to put through a full range of tests, soon enough. As you can imagine, the Thermaltake Level 10 chassis has been designed to impress and draw the attention of computer enthusiasts, case modders and other PC users that are interested in a sophisticated design for their desktop computer system. This is pretty much the case, from what Maximum PC has been able to find out, after unboxing the chassis.

As we've seen at CeBIT, the Level 10 chassis is something of a behemoth for its class, with the fellows over at Maximum PC claiming that the case is “huge.” The cool-looking design measures 12.5 x 24 x 26.2 inches and offers a number of features that are meant to provide the end-user with support for some of the most powerful hardware components on the market. Among some of the features that we need to underline, the Thermaltake Level 10 comes with a removable motherboard tray, support for both 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch hard drives and a cable management design.

Although the case that the fellows over at Maximum PC have received in their labs was shipped directly from Taipei, enthusiasts will still have to wait until mid-October before getting a chance to grab one for themselves. Price-wise, you are looking at a chassis that is expected to go for around US$700, when it becomes available.
