The US-based handset maker BLU Products has just released another cheap Android smartphone that will probably sell like hot cakes in the United States. The new BLU Studio C is now available for purchase at Amazon US for just $99.

The unlocked smartphone will be compatible with any GSM band in the United States, including T-Mobile, AT&T, Metro PCS, Cricket Wireless, Tracfone, Go Smart, Simple Mobile, Net 10, Straight Talk, Ultra Mobile, Telcel America, H20 Wireless, Red Pocket, and Walmart Family Mobile, and others.

“The Studio C is another example that we strive to change the mobile industry by making great looking smartphones that can do amazing things, priced for everyone,” said Samuel Ohev-Zion, CEO of BLU Products.

If you wonder what you get for under $100, then you will be pleased to know that BLU Studio C offers quite decent features for the price you pay.

First of all, the smartphone ships with Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system right out of the box, which means you won't have to wait for an update that many high-end smartphones in the US have yet to receive.

Dual-SIM support, but no LTE connectivity

On the inside, the Studio C is equipped with a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek 6582 processor, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 64GB via microSD card slot.

Another selling point would be the fact that the device offers dual-SIM support and packs a high-capacity 3,000 mAh non-removable battery, which has been rated for up to 900 hours of standby mode or up to 24 hours of talk time.

BLU Studio C features an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back with autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording, while in the front there's a secondary 2-megapixel camera for video calls.

Last but not least, the Studio C sports a decent 5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution.
