First of all, it's really nice to see that ECS has finally agreed to release BIOSes for some of their new motherboards in the Intel Z77 line. While ECS has lanched the new mobos packed with the Intel Z77 chipset, the initial mass-production BIOSes were nowhere to be found; in case things went bad, a manual recovery was rather hard if the drivers CD had been lost. Well, it looks like ECS has mended this somewhat embarassing situation, and that's really nice.
Today's highlight is the
Gigabyte T1006: table-netbook hybrid computer, packing all the nifty looks of shape-shifting notebooks and boasting quite nice features for it's form factor. You'll be looking at a 10" capacitive multi-touch LED screen with two "flavors": the 1024 x 600 or the 1366 x 768 resolution.
The Intel mobile NM10 chipset works with an N2800 Dual Core Atom CPU running at 1.86 GHz and aided by a max of 4 GB DDR3 memory (single-slot architecture). The display is powerred by an Intel GMA 3600 chip, while the 320/ 500 GB storage should be enough for pretty much any user.
The eSATA combo port and an USB 3.0 connector will allow fast data transfers with your portable storage devices while the powerful 1.5 W stereo speakers are a nice multimedia-oriented complement.
And here's the BIOS:
