Here we go with another "BIOS of the Day" selection for our users and today’s highlight is represented by the new Z77-based motherboards manufactured by Gigabyte.

This comes as a rather expected move from Gigabyte, as weeks passed after the official release of the new board series and only a few of them had official downloadable BIOS. While drivers and utilities were up for grabs for a lot of boards, most of them had no separate BIOS... until now.

With the Intel Z77 chipset series having specific downloadable BIOS, we're expecting that the other boards based on H77 and B75 technology will follow the trend soon. The initial BIOS release for the Gigabyte Z77 boards does not seem to have been plagued by the traditional issues occurring in the first BIOS generations.

It's also true that some boards come with F8 as the first official, distinct BIOS revision, but that's only to make us happier as we assume that the present revision has been thoroughly tested. As for the rest of the BIOS picks, we're delivering the (already) traditional HP and Acer notebook software, and BIOS for an Asrock motherboard.

Enjoy:

As both hardware and software evolve, old BIOSes might become unstable or simply prevent you from using your computer to its full potential.

Therefore, it is highly recommended to always use the most recent BIOS version available. Do not forget to check with our site as often as possible in order to stay updated on the latest BIOS files.
