Intel has released its 0009 BIOS package targeted at the DH61BF desktop board, which improves the device’s performance by adding workarounds for the encountered problems.

Specifically speaking, the new version changes the ACPI OEM_TABLE_ID string to DH61BF, and updates the Intel ME (Management Engine) 8 firmware to version 8.1.30.1350.

Moreover, the board has the problem with the system that hangs with no video fixed, as well as the issue with the CPU power efficiency that remained on “high performance” mode (even though users selected a different mode) resolved.

Besides the ME 8 firmware, version 0009 also contains the 2nd and 3rd generation EFI driver version 2.0.34.1016 and 3.0.13.1013, respectively, as well as the LAN Option ROM (2.44 PXE 2.1 Build 083) and the Integrated Graphics Option ROM (PC 14.34 Build 2143).

As for the available files, the release consists of 3 download records describing 3 different BIOS-related procedures, namely Recovery, Iflash, and Express BIOS update methods.

The first one is to be used when the BIOS needs to be recovered from an unstable state, and the other 2 files are able to install a new BIOS version regardless of the OS, or only under Microsoft’s Windows platforms, respectively.

That being said, follow the link below, and from the list, choose the desired BIOS-related method.
