BlackBerry officially announced its BBM application for Windows Phone platform exited beta a few days ago. Usually, when an application leaves beta status and the final version gets published, it means it shouldn't be buggy anymore.

However, it appears that BBM for Windows Phone still has a few issues that need to be addressed in future updates, and one of them has just been fixed, according to developers.

A few days after delivering the final version of BBM on Windows Phone platform, BlackBerry released a new iteration that's supposed to address one of the issues discovered after the application left beta status.

According to the official changelog, the latest update for BBM for Windows Phone fixes an issue related to accepting SMS invites. At first glance, this may be the only change included in this update, but it looks like BlackBerry published a newer version in the Store which does not come with an official changelog attached to it.

We believe there may be another minor update that's been pushed after version 1.0.1.27 that fixes the SMS related issue, but it may only include small bug fixes and slight improvements.

You can now download BBM for Windows Phone 1.0.1.28 for free via Windows Phone Store. Keep in mind that the application should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Windows Phone 8 and up.
