BlackBerry’s BBM Channels has just emerged out of beta and will be launched on BB10 and legacy devices starting later today.

BBM Channels has been in beta for more than six months, but the Canadian company has finally managed to iron out all the issues in the beta versions.

The bad news is that Android and iOS users will be skipped from the initial launch, but BlackBerry has confirmed that it will bring BBM Channels on both platforms in the coming months.

In order to access BBM Channels, BlackBerry users will have to update to the latest version of BlackBerry Messenger, which contains the said feature.

As MobileSyrup points out, BBM Channels will become available today at 3pm EST for all BlackBerry 10 and legacy devices, so make sure you check for the update at the right time.
