After pushing new updates to BBM beta versions on iOS and Android platforms, the Canadian company is now supplying its native app with new features and improvements.

In fact, the update brings the same changes that were included in the latest versions of BBM beta for Android and iOS. But if you own a BlackBerry smartphone, here is what you get in this update, courtesy to CrackBerry.

First of all, the newest BBM beta for BlackBerry introduces Private Chat. The new feature is meant to make sure that all sensitive messages are kept confidential.

For example, in a private chat, all contact information is hidden, and new message notifications are barely visible to keep everything as discreet as possible.

In order to start a private chat, you will need to open the menu from within a 1:1 chat and select “Start Private Chat.” Keep in mind that you won't be able to use this feature unless you are subscribed.

Speaking of which, BlackBerry has put together a new subscription bundle, which includes the following components: Private Chat, Edit Message, Timed Messages and Pictures, and Retract.

Those that have already subscribed to Timed and Retracted Message will be upgraded to the new Privacy and Control Subscription that includes all features mentioned earlier, at no additional cost.

Free bundles are available during beta

It's also worth mentioning that these bundles will be provided for free while in beta, though the number available will be limited.

Other new features included in this update include the ability to order sticker packs, so you can now customize which Sticker Packs you see in the main Sticker Picker view using the Stickers Settings Menu.

Also, the update introduces Quote Message option, which allows users to reference and reply to a previous message in their chat. In order to quote a message, simply tap and hold on it and then select “Quote Message.”

The update is now available for all those who have BBM beta installed on their smartphones, but make sure you have a valid BlackBerry Beta Zone account.
