A new flavor of the popular BlackBerry Messenger application is now available for download through the official BlackBerry Beta Zone, namely version 7.0.1.16. However, users interested in taking the new
app flavor for a spin should know that they need a BlackBerry Beta Zone account to download it.
Apparently, no new features have been packed inside the BBM 7.0.1.16 release, but users will be able to enjoy a series of bug fixes and other minor enhancements with it.
The new mobile application iteration is available for all devices that are currently running under the BlackBerry OS 7.1 or earlier,

Owners of a
BlackBerry Z10 smartphone have been left out of this, but they can enjoy a different flavor of the application, integrated with the new BlackBerry 10 operating system.
