The BBC says that it is currently working with both Nintendo and Microsoft in order to make sure that it brings its iPlayer service to both the Wii U and the Xbox One as soon as possible, although no official dates are available at the moment.

The company explains on an official blog that, “We worked with Sony in this way for the PlayStation 4. We are working to bring BBC iPlayer to both Xbox One and Nintendo Wii U in the future, but we have no further details to share at this time.”

The BBC says that at the moment, it is not exploring the option of bringing the iPlayer service to the PlayStation Vita handheld or to Apple TV.

Both Microsoft and Sony have said that they want their next-gen consoles to be complex entertainment centers, but it seems that the PS4 currently has an advantage when it comes to implementation.
