BBC Sport Launches for iOS Worldwide

Previously available only to British customers, BBC Sport is now available as a free download to iPhone and iPad users worldwide.

Acting as a guide to live sport news, stats, fixtures and results, all curated by the broadcaster’s finest in sport journalism, BBC Sport delivers the top stories across the world of sport in a neatly arranged Home screen, followed by a page for Football, Formula 1, Cricket, Rugby Union, Rugby League, Tennis, Golf, and another page for all the other main sports (including major events).

Users will get live text commentaries from BBC journalists, detailed football live scores, match statistics, customization options (with quick links to your favorite sport), the ability to share stories via social networks, and more.

BBC Sport works over both Wi-Fi and 3G and requires iOS 5.0. All iDevices are compatible, but an iPad-native version is currently unavailable.
