Dame Helen Mirren was honored for her lifetime achievement at last night’s British Academy Film Awards 2014, held in London and, with her beautiful acceptance speech, she managed to leave not a single dry eye in the house.

Her speech is embedded in the video above.

Clearly, the actress can do funny, irreverent, but also very emotional. She was presented with her Fellowship BAFTA by Prince William himself, saying in a couple of interviews before the gala that she chose to take this as a sign that the Royal Family approved of her performance in “The Queen.”

Once up on stage, Mirren thanked her teacher and all her collaborators in the past, be they drivers or makeup people, or co-stars and directors. She also asked the audience for a another round of applause for “all the teachers out there.”

The star concluded her speech with a Shakespeare quote, saying, “Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve; And, like this insubstantial pageant faded. Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff as dreams are made on, and our little life is rounded with a sleep.”

She then added her own contribution to it, “My little life is rounded with this honor, thank you so much indeed.”
