Barnes & Noble hasn't been in the news much lately, but that doesn't mean the company will go off the radar completely. Even with the company reducing its hardware production, new information has it that we're going to see a new eReader and/or tablet be launched next month. The-digital-reader reports that according to sources familiar with the matter, a new device will be out on the market in October.

One of the sources actually stumbled upon a memo, which sadly didn't include any information about specs or the exact release date, but only revealed that a device was certainly in the making.

The book giant also reconsidered its decision to stop the production of color NOOK tablets like the NOOK HD and NOOK HD+.

So October could see the launch of a set of new slates, as well as a new eBook reader.
