Barnes & Noble has some good news for those who are getting one of its Nook HD tablets: the products will have access to online video content, courtesy of NBCUniversal and 20th Century Fox.

B&N signed the deals just a short time ago, according to CNET, and expects both Nook HD and Nook HD+ to let their future owners see films like "Battleship" and "Dr. Seuss' The Lorax."

For anyone who is confused, B&N did launch the two products last month, but sales won't begin until November 8.

Hopefully, this will mollify those who have been complaining about Nook HD/HD+ not having sufficient apps, movies and TV shows. While the tablets did get praised for design and features, they got criticized for lacking on these other areas.

That didn't stop B&N from receiving a record number of pre-orders though.
