Launching the Nook HD and Nook HD+ tablets wasn't enough of a show for Barnes & Noble. The bookstore chain has also made a move involving the Nook Simple Touch and Simple Touch GlowLight.

The e-readers have been selling in the United States for some time now, but B&N is now taking them to Europe, specifically the United Kingdom.

The E Ink e-book reader Nook Simple Touch bears the price of £79 ($99 / 99 Euro), while the Nook Simple Touch GlowLight (with optional illumination system) is priced at £109 ($139 / 139 Euro).

We should note that B&N isn't quite fulfilling the promise made back in April, when it set availability for fall. Though UK customers can, indeed, now order it, they will have to wait until just before Christmas for shipments to begin.

Hopefully there won't be any of those pesky supply shortages this time around, although, true enough, they weren't supply issues as much as they were evidence of very high demand.
