The rivalry between the amazon Kindle Fire and the Barnes & Noble Nook Tablet is one that the media has been talking about periodically, but only now has it sparked for real.

The reason for this is the change to the on-board storage that the latter has been subjected to.

Instead of 16 GB of on-board storage, Nook now has 8 GB, the same amount as its main opponent. On that same note, the price has gone down by $50 (37.88 Euro).

Sales of the newest device are supposed to start on February 22, which is just a couple of days from now.

This all became known when some documentation about the slate got uncovered. The price will be of around $249, which translates into 188.66 Euro, based on exchange rates.
