The update will arrive automatically on your NOOK HD device

Those of you who own a Nook HD tablet should know B&N has just launched a software update which brings some enhancements and extra bonuses to the table.

Nothing massive has been added here, so don’t get over excited, but you might still find some useful things, nevertheless. For starters, the new update brings a new annual subscription feat for newspapers and magazines.

Moreover, the Talkback option (a screen reader that provides spoken feedback) is now present and active in Home, Library, email and your web browser.

Sadly there's also an annoying side to the update, as B&N will be showing you all kinds of deal ads for Nook ebooks, magazines and more. The good news is that you can go to Settings/General/Nook Notifications and turn this feature off.

Last but not least, the updated Nook HD+ will now offer the option of installing dictionaries for Dutch, Italian, German, French and Spanish. The presence of dictionaries might mean that B&N is hopefully gearing up to release its Nook tablets on other markets except the US and UK.
