The music game genre has been experiencing some very big sales recently, largely due to the great entertainment value these titles bring to everyday gamers. The chance to envision yourself and your friends as your favorite band and rock out on the most famous concert halls on Earth is something a lot of people find attractive.

The fact that a lot of famous bands are beginning to bring their best-known tracks to titles such as Guitar Hero or Rock Band has made a lot of music fans interested in such games. The opportunity of delivering new tracks to the games via DLC (Downloadable Content) has also generated a very profitable source of income for both game developers and the bands themselves, which are gaining new fans every day.

One of the most expected albums to be released onto the digital shelves of the Rock Band Store is Guns N'Roses' latest work, Chinese Democracy. Although the band's lead member Axl Rose revealed a few months ago that living-room rockers would get a chance to play the album in February, it now seems that the vocalist has been informed by MTV Games, the company that published Rock Band, that the album would arrive in Spring.

“[The team at Harmonix] felt the record-based on the nature and complexity of the depth of instrumentation-deserved a bit more attention and some more involved elements than they've generally dealt with,” revealed Rose about the work done by the developers of Rock Band. “I have no idea what that means but it's my understanding they were very enthusiastic.”

After waiting for almost 10 years for the album to be released, it seems that Rock Band owners will still have to wait some more in order to play the songs on it. Until we hear an official release from MTV Games or Harmonix, we'll have to settle with Axl Rose.
