There's up to 8 GB DDR3 RAM and room for both half- and full-size PCIe mini cards

Industrial computers might not sound like such a big deal, but they’re responsible for a fair chunk of companies’ income, income that can be used to research and develop better gaming hardware.

As far as AMD goes, the company has the G-Series system-on-chip ready and willing to land in PC-based industrial computer products.

Axiomtek has just used the chip in the GX-210JA Pico-ITX single-board computer.

The SBC uses the GX-210JA 1.0 GHz dual-core with a mainboard featuring both a half-size PCI Express Mini Card and one full-size PCI Express Mini Card with mSATA support.

There's no need for video cards because the G-Series SoC has its own integrated Radeon HD 8180.

On that note, the I/O panel has VGA and 18/24 dual channel LVDS outputs, in addition to four USB 2.0 ports, two serial ports and Gigabit Ethernet.

As for storage, one SATA 3 connector exists, for an HDD, SSD or HHD/SSHD.

No price was included in the press release that revealed the existence of the Axiometk PICO121 SBC. No surprise there, since these things are subject to negotiations. The haggle skill is not just a myth from role-playing games after all.

At least the thing is easy enough to power. Just plug it into a +12V DC socket and you're ready to go.
