Awesome Giveaway Weekends on Softpedia

Starting April 24 Softpedia will begin a weekly giveaway campaign
Enlarge picture
Come April 23, Softpedia will introduce a new campaign designed to deliver high-quality software to dedicated readers. The goal of the initiative is to promote the featured software and, of course, to reward our users with free licenses in exchange for a small effort.

As the giveaway campaign will occur on a weekly basis and lasts from Saturday until Friday, we’ll post an article during the weekend, presenting the featured software. What you have to do in order to become eligible is simply punch in some lines in the comments section of that article. This means that you have one week to cook up our comment and post it to that article. Comments posted at a later date will not be considered for the giveaway.

We do not require beautifully-penned compositions from you, nor loud appraisal targeting said program, but words springing from your experience with the application or a similar product; a presentation of the ups and downs or a comparison with a program of the same feather would be great.

At the same time, linking to a video you made with the product would be just as awesome – not to mention that it would give you an edge over other participants.

The apps we’re giving away in partnership with their developers cover a wide gamut of categories, from security, system optimization or image editing to file/folder backup, download improvement, secure erasing or benchmarking.

Each week, at least ten Softpedia users will receive free license codes for the software featured in the weekend giveaway. However, don’t let this number discourage you, since we also have some hot, five-star products ready to find their way to up to 100 users.

Needless to say, if you want to receive a free-license-code appreciation from us, we require you to use a valid email address when posting the comment. As you already know, it won’t be displayed online; we need it in order to contact the winners.

To sum it all up, starting April 23, you can win free licenses every week. You can post multiple comments or have your girlfriend / boyfriend contribute with a few lines for an extra chance to win.

For a full list of the software featured in our giveaway campaign you can check this article on a weekly basis, check the weekly giveaway tag or receive the info by following the Softpedia Giveaway Twitter account.

Note: The winners will be picked from the comments section of the article presenting the giveaway product and we will contact them in 5-10 days after the giveaway expires. They will have to provide their full name in private (when required) in order to collect their prize. No other information except for the lines of your comment and the alias/nickname will appear online.

All licenses are provided by the software developer and we guarantee for their validity. However, neither we, nor the developer take responsibility if user actions lead to invalidating the license codes.

Hello there. Thanks for this. But I already have suggestion please make available, a dedicated section/link for it on m.softpedia.com, since its not possible to access a PC on the fly. Maybe an option to upload videos as well is too much, so I will leave it to Softpedia to decide on what is best. Thanks anyways

I have been using WinOptimizer for more than an year now. The most amazing feature about this product is that it optimizes your system without any hassles, it can do that with just one click. All we need to do is click on the shortcut menu that appears on the Desktop.

It keeps history as well as backups for all the previous optimizations it has done till date so that the user has the option to revert the changes if required. It contains browserlike tabs for Overview, Modules, Backups and Favorites for easy navigation, modules tab being the most often used by me.

Under the modules tab we get tons of options to tweak the system based upon our requirements. One can choose to
1.Clean up unnecessary file taking up disk space.
2.Optimize the registry so as to clean invalid registry entries.
3.Clean browser cache.
4.Choose to optimize system with a simple click.
5.De-fragment the hard drive for better response.
6. Manage start-up programs so as to speed up boot time.
7.Manage running processes.
8. Tune internet settings for faster browsing experience.
9. AntiSpy feature stops hazardous communication from the system with internet.
10.File wiper cleans the files permanently from the system.
11.File encrypter-decrypter heps to save files in a secure manner preventing unauthorized use.
12.Tuning system settings has options to improve the appearance of system by changing icons, context menu etc.
13. Information tab gives a complete report about the disk space usage and the hardware and software status.
14. Finally the file tools give options to recover accidentally deleted files, splitting and joining files and shortcut to windows standard functions.

Collectively all there functions together in a single software makes Ashampoo WinOptimizer a great package in itself.

I would suggest others to use this software to keep their systems in shape just like the way we join a gym to keep our bodies fit and healthy.

Thunderbird with a set of plug-ins nimem not concede, and even more functional than blee than thebat!. thebat! have been deemed safer, more often used than the Thunderbird.

Comment #29 by: yashiscool on 07 Jul 2011, 07:05 UTC reply to this comment

The Bat! overall is a good email client with good email features like support for secured MIME features so that I can read my digitally signed emails.

After usage, I have found that there is no good mechanism for stopping Junk emails which in my view can be bettered when I see some of it's competitors.

Having said that, one cannot forget the most liked feature of support for extra plugins which can help me overcome the junk mails stopping situation.

Please count me in for the giveaway. I would love use this email client.

Thanks.
