14 DAY TRIAL // Today Lavasoft launched the new line of Ad-Aware products, which have been re-written from scratch. Looks are the first to notice, and the new layout is compact and easier to handle.
The Free version has been preserved and integrates protection components that had been available only in the paid editions (process, network and registry monitoring). Download protection is also present in the freebie, alerting users of threats before they’re launched.
As for the paid versions, Personal Security edition available for $/€12, integrates safe online shopping and banking through real-time scanning of links for malicious content or phishing attacks. Pro Security, available for $/€36, adds a two-way firewall and USB scanning abilities.
All editions of the suite are equipped with sandboxing capabilities, which allows for safe launching of suspicious files in an environment isolated from the operating system and analyzing their behavior.
