Avril Lavigne May Have a New Girlfriend

Avril Lavigne is single and ready to mingle and, from the latest reports, she may have also switched lanes. Photos of the singer with a gal pal on the beach have sent the rumor mill into overdrive.

Voices in the blogosphere, as well as the tabloids, are saying that Avril may be seeking for love with a woman, after having her heart broken by Brody Jenner earlier this year.

Photos of the star on vacation with a bunch of friends, getting very frisky with a girlfriend, are making many wondering out loud if she's not suddenly into girls.

“Avril Lavigne was spotted getting very touchy-feely with a female companion over the weekend as she soaked up the sun on the beach,” the Daily Mail writes.

“The 27-year-old singer – who is enjoying a sunshine break with pals in Mexico – put on a tactile show with the busty brunette on Friday, hugging her and even snuggling up together on their lounger. Avril is newly-single following her split from boyfriend Brody Jenner back in January,” the same publication writes.

Whether that's really the case or not, we'll not know for a while, assuming Avril ever agrees to talk about it.

This is not the first time that reports about her love interests make the rounds this past month: in fact, just a short while ago, she was romantically linked to none other than shock rocker Marilyn Manson.

The two have common friends, which is how they came to realize they were attracted to each other, word had it, as we also informed you at the time.

While Manson was on tour in Europe, Avril camped out in Paris and he would fly back and forth to see her whenever he had the time, in between breaks on the tour, insiders claimed.

As it turns out, this was probably highly inaccurate, because Manson has a girlfriend.

We can't say the same (yet) about reports that Lavigne might be more than just friends with the busty brunette she was copping a feel of over the weekend.
