So, rumors were true after all! 'People' Magazine reported that the two young punk-rockers walked down in the aisle on Saturday, during a beautiful fairy-tale type of ceremony. That and all the pictures that just surfaced on the Internet make Lavigne's commitment to Deryk official.

Despite her boyish attitude and way of dressing, Avril opted for a very traditional wedding, where almost everything was white or pink.

The bride wore a Vera Wang gown, simple and yet very beautiful and the four bridesmaids were also dressed in pink by the same designer. The groom and best men opted for Hugo tuxedos by Hugo boss.

The brief Catholic ceremony lasted only 20 minutes and it was held in Montecito California, on a private estate only yards away from the house of the media mogul Oprah. No celebrities were invited to it and only 110 family members and close friends were present at the happy moment.

A guest told 'People' that Avril looked like a princess in her overflowing white gown and that, because everybody was silent, one could easily hear the buzzing of the swarming helicopters full of photographers. They tried desperately to get a picture of the young couple but few succeeded, because the estate was completely surrounded by high bushes.

Another insider told the press that Avril and Deryk had it all planned out weeks ago. It is said that they even had a pond with white swans to add a little more beauty to the amazing ceremony.

No word yet on the place where the newlyweds are to spend their honeymoon.
