If you’re a celebrity and you get new ink, then you must definitely show it off on Twitter. Avril Lavigne went out with the girls during the day, decided to make of it a girls’ night out – and ended up getting a new tattoo.
Of course, Avril is no stranger to body art. She’s also very close to her fans (judging by her
Twitter account), which may explain the need to boast about her latest ink on the social networking website.
“Girls day!!!!!! Listening to my new record with my girls and catching up... Love u babeskis,” Avril first tweeted.
Day turned into night. “Uh-oh girls day turning into girls night.... Should I get a tattoo???? Haha,” she wrote.
Even later, the singer teased her fans with photos of tattoo guns, writing only “Gonna do it.” In other words, she had decided she wanted a tattoo but still hadn’t told her fans what it would be.
Instead, she had them guessing until the tattoo was nearly done – but she also made sure she provided them with plenty of photos of her at the tattoo parlor.
“Omg..k. Here we go... It’s comes in handy all the time, it can hurt you, but at the same time keep you together, safety first! What is it?” the rocker asked.
“I’m getting a [expletive]-ing neck tattoo. Its a...... Safety pin [expletive]!!!!!” she added.
“What a great day with my girlfriends..... Hahah. Just being me... Girl time is always necessary. And I got a tattoo. Holy crap hahah,” Avril wrote.
As noted above, many other celebrities took to Twitter to boast about their brand new tattoos. Just recently,
David Beckham did the same, as also did Vanessa Hudgens.
While Becks is quite the walking canvas right now, for the former “High School Musical” star, it was her first piece: she
got a butterfly, also on her neck.
