The German company kicks off campaign to update users

Avira launched the 2013 product line back in late September. Now, the German company kicks off an upgrade campaign to the newest versions. As an incentive for the users to make the move, Avira is offering the upgrade free of charge.

In order to proceed with updating to the most recent versions, users have to receive the message in the picture above.

Avira 2013 introduces protection components that cover social networking activity by scanning uses accounts for Facebook, Twitter or Google+ for patterns that may indicate improper behavior. Additionally, it integrates in-browser protection against navigation to unsafe websites and Do Not Track capability.

Paying customers benefit from a module designed to locate Android devices and sending remote commands to lock the phone.
