Aviary has been around for a few years, but has made a very successful move only last year when it introduced a mobile photo editing API and SDK. It enabled app makers to integrate photo editing features into their apps without having to develop them themselves.
Already, 10 million photos are edited on mobile devices each month via Aviary tools. But Aviary is not sitting still and has already pushed the second major version of its mobile editor which should start popping up in the apps that use it. The web version of the Aviary editor has been updated as well.
Most of the features have been improved and the editor entirely redesigned. There are new filters, new stickers and new controls.
What's more, since the tool is aimed at being integrated into other apps, the branding has been minimized. More details on the new features are available in the blog post
announcement.
